Θα ήθελα να σας ενημερώσω ότι οι εξαμηνιαίες παρουσιάσεις θα πραγματοποιηθούν στις 6 και 7 Νοεμβρίου. Το πρόγραμμα θα αναρτηθεί τις επόμενες ημέρες στην ενότητα "έγγραφα" του eclass. Θα πρέπει να αναρτήσετε το αρχείο της παρουσίασης και το αρχείο του κειμένου σας στην ενότητα «Εργασίες» (Προθεσμία: 4/11/2020). Προσχέδια των παρουσιάσεων είναι αναρτημένα στο eclass.

Όλες οι παρουσιάσεις θα γίνουν εξ’ αποστάσεως μέσω της πλατφόρμας «τηλεσυνεργασία» του eclass.

The Ioannina Meeting on Applied Economics and Finance (IMAEF 2020) is organised for eighth year by the Department of Economics of the University of Ioannina.

Overview

The Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia organizes the 6th International Conference on Applied Theory, Macro and Empirical Finance (AMEF), which will be held at the Department of Economics, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. The aim is to bring together researchers, young scholars, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students that are working on the areas of Economics and Finance. Selected papers will be included in special issues of the (1) Journal of Economic Asymmetries and (2) Review of Financial Economics. The registration fee is €165 and includes coffee breaks, two lunches and meeting material.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (including necessarily methodology adopted and preliminary results, either existing or expected) or a complete paper in WORD or PDF format by March 20, 2020 in the following email: conference@apfintl.org. Authors will be notified no later than April 30, 2020. Participants must register for the conference by May 20, 2020. Information about registration will be provided in due time.

REGISTRATION FEES

There will be a registration fee of 150 euros for senior participants and 100 euros for PhD and post-Doc students. Registration fees must be paid either via credit card or bank transfer by May 20, 2020. The fee includes continental breakfasts, lunches and the conference dinner.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Conference presenters will be invited to submit their papers for blind review and possible publication in: (a) The Journal of Economic Asymmetries, Elsevier Science, http://www.journals.elsevier.com/the-journal-of-economic-asymmetries. Πρόσκληση

Το 10ο επετειακό, Εθνικό Συνέδριο της Επιστημονικής Εταιρείας Χρηματοοικονομικής Μηχανικής και Τραπεζικής (ΕΕΧΜΤ) αποτελεί πλέον θεσμό όσον αφορά την ανταλλαγή και διακίνηση ιδεών σχετικών με τη χρηματοοικονομική μηχανική και την τραπεζική στον Ελληνικό χώρο. Στόχος του συνεδρίου είναι η παρουσίαση νέων ερευνητικών αποτελεσμάτων καθώς και η διάδοση μεθοδολογιών για την ανάλυση και λήψη αποφάσεων στο χώρο της Χρηματοοικονομικής από τα μέλη της Εταιρείας, αλλά και άλλων ερευνητών που το επιθυμούν.

Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι που θα επιθυμούν να συμμετέχουν στο συνέδριο καλούνται να υποβάλλουν ηλεκτρονικά το άρθρο τους ή τη σύνοψη αυτού μέχρι 31/10/2019 στη διεύθυνση: http://febs2019gr.eventsadmin.com

Η υποβληθείσα εργασία ή σύνοψη μπορεί να υποβληθεί στην Ελληνική ή στην Αγγλική γλώσσα και πρέπει να περιλαμβάνει τα ακόλουθα στοιχεία: (1) τίτλο εργασίας, (2) ονόματα συγγραφέων, ταχυδρομική και ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση όλων των συγγραφέων, (3) σύντομη περίληψη έκτασης 300 έως 600 λέξεων, στην οποία να αναλύονται οι στόχοι της εργασίας, η μεθοδολογία που εφαρμόζεται και τα σημαντικότερα αποτελέσματα.

Δημοσίευση Εργασιών

Επιλεγμένες εργασίες που θα παρουσιαστούν στο συνέδριο θα δημοσιευθούν ύστερα από κρίση σε ειδικά τεύχη επιστημονικών περιοδικών που θα δημοσιοποιηθούν σε επόμενη επικοινωνία. Σημειώνεται ότι οι εργασίες που θα υποβληθούν για δημοσίευση πρέπει να υποβληθούν στην Αγγλική γλώσσα.

Δήλωση Συμμετοχής

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Selected high quality papers presented at the 2020 FEBS conference will be invited for submission to a special issue that will be published by the Journal of Financial Stability (JFS). The papers must fall within the scope of JFS, that is to provide a forum for rigorous theoretical and empirical macro and micro economic and financial analysis of the causes, management, resolution and preventions of financial crises. All the submissions will be subject to the standard JFS review process.

PAPER SUBMISSION

Papers must be submitted via the online submission system https://febs2020.eventsadmin.com until January 15, 2020. The criteria for selecting papers for the program include the nature of the research topic, the economic implications of the research, and the academic quality of the research design.

Στο πλαίσιο των εκπαιδευτικών δραστηριοτήτων του Τμήματος Οικονομικών Επιστημών για τους προπτυχιακούς, μεταπτυχιακούς και διδακτορικούς φοιτητές, θα πραγματοποιηθεί διάλεξη από τον Καθηγητή κ.Henry Thompson*, με θέμα "Μακροοικονομικά της Ελλάδος εντός της Ζώνης του Ευρώ". Η διάλεξη θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή στις 18/10/19 και ώρα 12.30 μ.μ. έως 15.00 μ.μ., στην αγγλική γλώσσα. Στο τέλος της διάλεξης θα υπάρχει επιπλέον η δυνατότητα συζήτησης με τον Καθηγητή για το εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα των ΗΠΑ. Στους συμμετέχοντες θα δοθεί βεβαίωση παρακολούθησης.

*Ο Καθηγητής Henry Thompson είναι επίτιμο και ιδρυτικό μέλος του International Economics and Finance Society,έχει διεθνώς αναγνωρισμένη έρευνα στη Μακροοικονομική Θεωρία και στο Διεθνές Εμπόριο . Η έρευνά του έχει δημοσιευθεί σε πάνω από 120 άρθρα και κατατάσσεται στο κορυφαίο 5% των ερευνητικών άρθρων στα Οικονομικά. Σεμινάριο Εφαρμοσμένης Χρηματοοικονομικής και Ποσοτικών Επενδυτικών Στρατηγικών

Στα πλαίσια των εκπαιδευτικών δραστηριοτήτων του Τμήματος Οικονομικών Επιστημών για τους προπτυχιακούς, μεταπτυχιακούς και διδακτορικούς φοιτητές, οργανώνεται σεμινάριο διάρκειας 9 ωρών (3 ώρες για τρεις ημέρες) στην ποσοτική εφαρμοσμένη χρηματοοικονομική και τις πρακτικές εφαρμογές σε επενδυτικές στρατηγικές. Το σεμινάριο αυτό πρόκειται να είναι το πρώτο σε μία σειρά σεμιναρίων με το αυτό θέμα. Βασική διαφοροποίηση της θεματολογίας του σεμιναρίου θα είναι η έμφαση στις εφαρμογές και την πρακτική των επενδυτικών στρατηγικών με εκτεταμένα παραδείγματα, εφαρμογές σε πραγματικό χρόνο, εξήγηση εννοιών μέσα από μελέτες περίπτωσης και άλλα.

Το σεμινάριο θα γίνει από τον υπ. διδάκτορα του τμήματος κο Rafael Yahlomi, ex Quantitative Fund Manager for FengHe Quant Hedge Fund, Singapore, currently working as a proprietary trader, και η γλώσσα του σεμιναρίου θα είναι η Αγγλική. Μετά το πέρας του σεμιναρίου θα δοθούν βεβαιώσεις παρακολούθησης.

Το πρόγραμμα του σεμιναρίου στην πλήρη του μορφή, και πέραν των 9 πρώτων ωρών, δίνεται παρακάτω. Interested participants at ISEFI 2020 should indicate during the submission of their full paper that they want to be considered in the special issue by selecting “SI Climate Policy” topic. Following approval by the Editors-in-Chief of the SI, all submissions will undergo regular peer-review after the conference; authors invited to submit a full paper are expected to act as reviewers for the special issue.

University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece

We are pleased to invite you to the 7th International PhD Meeting in Economics, which will be held on 4th and 5th of July, 2019, at the University of Macedonia, in Thessaloniki, Greece. It is an annual meeting which is organized by the PhD students of the Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia and supported by the scientific committee. Its aim is to provide an international meeting point where PhD students and young researchers could share ideas about their work in Economics and Finance. This would encourage academic collaboration among young economists. Submitted papers should focus on recent issues within all fields of Economics and Finance.

Application may be submitted by PhD students and Post-Doctoral researchers. The registration fee is 80€ and includes coffee breaks, two lunches and the meeting material.

Submission details

An extended abstract (300-500 words) in English should be submitted no later than May 3, 2019. All abstracts should include the title, 3 to 5 keywords, JEL classification, authors’ names, affiliation and email address.

21st ZEW Summer Workshop for Young Economists - Advances in Empirical Public Economics

The ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research is pleased to announce the call for papers for its 21st ZEW Summer Workshop for Young Economists - Advances in Empirical Public Economics. The workshop will take place in Mannheim on 17-19 July 2019.

This year’s workshop will cover recent topics and methods adopted in empirical public economics. A particular focus will be on causal inference as well as structural methods in public policy evaluations. We particularly welcome empirical submissions from the fields of public finance and social policy as well as methodological contributions in tax policy and public policy evaluations in a broader sense.

David Agrawal (University of Kentucky), Eckhard Janeba (University of Mannheim) and Juan Carlos Suárez Serrato (Duke University and NBER) will give the keynote lectures.

Advanced doctoral students and postdocs who have completed their thesis within the last three years are invited to submit a paper. The ZEW Summer Workshop is open to a maximum of 15 participants. You can submit a paper (preliminary versions are welcome) and your CV no later than 15 April 2019 to the following email address: summerworkshop2019@zew.de.

As part of the summer workshop, the best paper will be awarded the Heinz König Young Scholar Award in a ceremony at the end of the workshop. The award is named after ZEW’s late founding director and is sponsored by Landesbank Baden-Württemberg. The prize includes an endowment of 5,000 euros as well as a three-month research visit at ZEW.

The conference will take place from August 30 - September 1, 2019 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

EARIE annual conference

The EARIE Annual Conference provides a yearly platform for delegates and members to present and discuss the latest research in Industrial Economics. The conference attracts more than 400 participants each year from Europe and other parts of the world. EARIE 2019 will take place at the campus of Ciutadella of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Barcelona

Barcelona is the capital of Catalonia and is the second largest city of Spain. The city's origins can be traced back to the first century before Christ and the Roman colony of Barcino. Since 1996, DRUID has become one of the world’s premier academic conferences on innovation and the dynamics of structural, institutional and geographic change. DRUID is proud to invite senior and junior scholars to participate and contribute with a paper to DRUID19, hosted by Copenhagen Business School. Presenting distinguished plenary speakers, a range of parallel paper sessions, and an attractive social program, the conference aims at mapping theoretical, empirical and methodological advances, contributing novel insights, and help identifying scholarly positions, divisions, and common grounds in current scientific controversies within the field.

CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

Keynotes delivered by top scholars from innovation studies, management, economic geography, and numerous other research fields. Plenary speakers at DRUID19 include Stefano Brusoni, Dimo Dimov, Nilanjana Dutt, Annabel Gawer, Martine Haas, Adam B. Jaffe, Michael G. Jacobides, Sarah Kaplan, Dan Levinthal and Roberto Verganti.

DRUID Debates with outstanding scholars exchanging opinions in a heated and entertaining setting, and the conference audience opposing or supporting their standpoints. DRUID19 Debates challenge 'THE ECO-SYSTEMS APPROACH' and ‘DESIGN THINKING’.

Paper sessions presenting 200 peer reviewed papers with previously unpublished research, all with engaged session chairs and carefully appointed discussants. DRUID19 invites paper submissions on innovation, entrepreneurship and other aspects of structural, institutional and geographic change, such as

In particular, DRUID invites papers with new, mixed, or multi-disciplinary theoretical approaches or innovative methods that will benefit from the open-ended discussions at DRUID.

Best paper awards. Accepted papers authored or co-authored by doctoral students will be considered for the Steven Klepper Award for Best Young Scholar Paper while all papers accepted for the conference will be considered for the DRUID Best Paper Award.

The grand DRUID Dinner is known for its excellent food and high fun factor. This year we will enjoy New Nordic cuisine and the atmosphere in the historic warehouse in Copenhagen harbor where NOMA and the New Nordic food revolution were kicked off.

DRUID Discoveries excursions will make the most out of Copenhagen and invite participants on trips to the most happening parts of city.

DRUID Decadence. A DRUID institution, the afterparty will find DRUIDs dining, drinking and dancing the night away in a clandestine garden amongst the city ramparts, before joining the locals for a nightcap in the historical old harbor quarters.

PDWs

Professional development workshops (PDWs) are focused, user driven sessions offering a way of sharing ideas, knowledge and expertise with peers in the DRUID community and develop new ideas and projects. PDWs at DRUID19 take place 9.00-12.00 on June 19, 2019.

All participants to DRUID19 can propose a PDW focused on a specific research subfield and/or targeting a specific group, e.g. PhD students, junior faculty, empiricists, theorists, etc. Proposals must contain 1) a max. 2 page description of the activity planned for the workshop; 2) a tentative program with a duration of up to 3 hours; 3) the maximum number of participants for the workshop (rooms are available for 20 up to 75 participants); and 4) a list of confirmed speakers; 5) a brief CV of key applicant(s) and speakers. Please send proposals to at pdw19@druid.dk no later than March 1, 2019. Applicants will be notified of the decision by March 20, 2019, and all accepted PDWs will be advertised and included in the DRUID19 program. Speakers and participants must register for the DRUID19 conference.

PAPER SUBMISSIONS AND DEADLINES

DRUID19 provides an opportunity to take stock of our field and jointly to advance the research frontier. Thus, only previously unpublished research is eligible for presentation and the conference particularly invites research with new, mixed, and multi-disciplinary theoretical approaches and novel methods. Scholars who wish to present their research at the conference must upload a full paper (in PDF, anonymized) not exceeding 12,000 words (including notes, tables, appendices, list of references, etc.) through the website www.druid.dk no later than March 1, 2019 (before midnight at the scholar’s location). Submission of a paper grants permission to DRUID to include it in the conference material and to place it temporarily on the conference website. DRUID reserves the right to use available software to control for plagiarism and to take appropriate action in severe cases. Details are available under Terms and Conditions on the website.

All submissions undergo double-blinded reviews by at least two independent reviewers with respect to novelty, academic quality and the paper’s relation to the themes of the conference. Decisions of paper acceptance are given April 20, 2019. No review or comments will be offered to the author or authors to supplement the decision. Papers not accepted for oral presentation at the conference may be accepted for presentation in a poster session. Authors of accepted papers/posters must pay the conference fee before May 1, 2019, or their paper/poster will automatically be removed from the conference program and website. Revised versions of accepted papers/posters may be uploaded until June 1, 2019. The final conference program will be available June 1, 2019.

Authors may submit more than one paper but each conference participant will only be allowed to present one paper. Co-authored papers may be presented by any of the participating co-authors.

REGISTRATION

The DRUID website www.druid.dk is open for registration and payment from February 19, 2019. Besides registration, the conference fee includes the grand conference dinner, lunch on June 20 and 21, and coffee and snacks/fruit during breaks all days. Sponsorships from the partner universities have enabled an early-bird conference fee (applicable until May 1, 2019) of 510 EUR. After May 1, 2019, the latecomer conference fee will be 610 EUR. There is a permanent 50% discount for doctoral students.

The website will remain open for payment of the conference fee until June 19, 2019. However, authors of accepted papers and posters must pay the fee before May 1, 2019, for their paper or poster to be included in the conference program.

DRUID GOES GREENER

Aiming to lower the carbon footprint of its biannual conferences, DRUID sources environmentally friendly food and conference materials. Furthermore, DRUID offsets 1 ton CO2 for each DRUID19 delegate, covering an estimated 120% of the conference’s carbon footprint of catering, venue, lodging and local transport.

Upon registering for DRUID19, each conference delegate will be offered a cheap and certified way (Vertified Carbon Standard and Gold Standard) of offsetting the individual carbon footprint for air travel to Copenhagen.

The Department of Economics of the University of Macedonia organizes the 5^th International Conference on Applied Theory, Macro and Empirical Finance (AMEF), which will be held at the Department of Economics, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. The aim is to bring together researchers, young scholars, post-doctoral researchers and Ph.D. students that are working on the areas of Economics and Finance. Proceedings

We are delighted to announce that on Saturday 15^th June 2019, the Hellenic Observatory will be hosting its 9th Biennial PhD Symposium on Contemporary Greece and Cyprus. The core aim of the Symposium is to provide a platform for exchange and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas between young scholars currently undertaking research on Greece and Cyprus. All applicants accepted to give papers will be eligible for travel grants due to the generous support of the Leventis Foundation.

The Symposium is an initiative that the Hellenic Observatory undertook in 2003 and we are pleased that we have been able to sustain and develop it. Over the years the Symposia have attracted PhD students from many different countries, facilitating their contact and collaboration with their peers. We have also been very grateful to the many academics who have given their time to chair the panels at the Symposia. The PhD Symposium intends to help graduate research students to overcome the academic isolation associated to PhD research, to ‘try’ their ideas and findings on wider audiences, and to establish new collaborative links across disciplines. Additionally, it enables young researchers to engage with a wider academic community, including academic members of staff at the LSE, and a number of other distinguished scholars who participate as discussants at the Symposium.

The Hellenic Observatory welcomes contributions from research students (current and recent) across any field of the social sciences and some fields of humanities whose PhD focuses on contemporary Greece and Cyprus.

Registered participants are invited to present a part of their thesis during panel sessions, where participants will receive feedback from peers and academics whilst being exposed to new concepts, methods and content brought by the other participants. The sessions allow for an exchange of knowledge and develop a creative dialogue, as well as enabling scholars to meet and interact in order to promote ideas with peers and more established scholars in their respective fields from across Europe and beyond.

The Symposium, as with previous years, will be organised into panel discussions each with a narrow disciplinary focus, as well as two plenary sessions that will seek to address broader themes relating to Greece or Cyprus, or indeed questions of methodology and planning in the delivery of a PhD thesis. This will allow students the opportunity to gain new tools and fresh ideas which can be carried forward into their remaining years of study.

This year the first plenary session will be delivered by Professor Kevin Featherstone, Hellenic Observatory Director, Eleftherios Venizelos Professor of Contemporary Greek Studies & Professor of European Politics, LSE. Professor Featherstone will address the various stages of the PhD process and offer a detailed guide for students researching Greece and Cyprus. Having the experience of supervising over 30 PhD candidates, Professor Featherstone is in a good position to advise students on multiple issues relating to their current research and their future publications.

The second plenary session will be delivered by Professor Dimitris PapadimitriouProfessor of Politics & Director of the Manchester Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence (JMCE) School of Social Sciences (SoSS), University of Manchester. Professor Papadimitriou will talk about “Five things we Don’t Know about the Economic Crisis in Greece”. Professor George Pagoulatos, Professor of European Politics and Economy at the Athens University of Economics and Business, will act as discussant.

Updates to the day’s proceedings will be added to the website as the Programme develops and nearer to the actual event date. The opportunity to register for the Plenary Sessions will also be made available in due course.

Sveriges Riksbank in cooperation with the Bank of Canada, Norges Bank, Reserve Bank of Australia, and Reserve Bank of New Zealand, is organizing a conference to discuss new theoretical and empirical research on the determinants of business cycles in small open economies and implications for policy.

The Multinational Finance Society is offering special tutorial lectures for advanced finance doctoral students working on their dissertations. Following the lectures participating students will have the opportunity to discuss their research with our feature speakers and other senior members. Financial support will be provided to a limited number of registered doctoral students not sponsored by their institutions.

Please visit our website at http://www.mfsociety.org to submit a copy of a completed or nearly completed paper or a detailed dissertation proposal or case study (PDF format) by December 7, 2018.

The cover page should include the affiliation, address, phone and email of each author. Each participant agrees to serve as a discussant of a paper of his/her own area of interest, if needed.

Please include of whether you would like your paper to be considered for any of the awards mentioned below. Only completed papers qualify for any of the awards.

REGISTRATION FEE

Registrations fee by January 11, 2019 is €250 and by February 8, 2019 is €300. Registration fee after February 8, 2019 is 20% extra. For doctoral students, a discount of €90 applies. Registered participants can attend all social functions during the conference.

Papers registered after February 8 cannot be considered for the awards.

The European Financial Management Association will hold its 28th Annual Meeting at the University of Azores, ISLAND OF S. MIGUEL, PORTUGAL, June 26-29, 2019.

RESEARCH PAPERS: Members and friends of the Association are invited to participate in the 2019 Annual Meeting. You are encouraged to submit research papers in all areas of Finance.

AWARDS: The Association will present the EFMA-WRDS Conference Award ($3,000), GARP Risk Management Award ($2,500), EFMA Capital Markets Award ($1,500), LANG Corporate Award ($2,000) & PhD Student Award ($2,000).

SPECIAL SESSIONS: In addition to the regular academic sessions, the program will include panel discussions, tutorial lectures, and invited presentations. Το 9ο Εθνικό Συνέδριο της Επιστημονικής Εταιρείας Χρηματοοικονομικής Μηχανικής και Τραπεζικής (ΕΕΧΜΤ) αποτελεί πλέον θεσμό όσον αφορά την ανταλλαγή και διακίνηση ιδεών σχετικών με τη χρηματοοικονομική μηχανική και τραπεζική στον Ελληνικό χώρο. Υποβολή Εργασιών

Οι ενδιαφερόμενοι που θα συμμετάσχουν στη συνάντηση καλούνται να υποβάλλουν ηλεκτρονικά πλήρης άρθρο ή περίληψη της εργασίας τους μέχρι 31/10/2018 στη διεύθυνση http://febs2018gr.eventsadmin.com

Η υποβληθήσα εργασία ή περίληψη μπορεί να είναι γραμμένη στα Ελληνικά ή Αγγλικά, και θα πρέπει να περιλαμβάνει τα ακόλουθα στοιχεία: (1) τίτλο της εργασίας, (2) ονόματα συγγραφέων, ταχυδρομική και ηλεκτρονική διεύθυνση, (3) για περιλήψη κείμενο 300 έως 600 λέξεων, στο οποίο θα αναλύονται οι στόχοι της εργασίας, η μεθοδολογία προσέγγισης, οι εφαρμογές και τα σημαντικότερα αποτελέσματα.

Δημοσίευση Εργασιών

Επιλεγμένες εργασίες που θα παρουσιαστούν στη συνάντηση θα δημοσιευθούν ύστερα από κρίση σε ειδικά τεύχη επιστημονικών περιοδικών. Οι εργασίες που θα υποβληθούν για δημοσίευση θα πρέπει να είναι γραμμένες στην Αγγλική γλώσσα.

Δήλωση Συμμετοχής

Το δικαίωμα συμμετοχής στη συνάντηση είναι 150€ (60€ για φοιτητές) και περιλαμβάνει την παρακολούθηση των εργασιών, τη διάθεση έντυπου υλικού, τη συμμετοχή στις επίσημες κοινωνικές εκδηλώσεις, γεύματα, καφέδες κ.α. H πληρωμή του δικαιώματος συμμετοχής και συνεπώς η εγγραφή στο συνέδριο θα πρέπει να γίνει ηλεκτρονικά στη διεύθυνση http://febs2018gr.eventsadmin.com

Το Επιστημονικό Συμβούλιο του ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ., αφουγκραζόμενο τις ανάγκες της ερευνητικής και ακαδημαικής κοινότητας και λαμβάνοντας υπόψη τα σχετικά αιτήματα Υποψηφίων Διδακτόρων των οποίων η Τριμελής Επιτροπή ορίστηκε κατά το χρονικό διάστημα από 1/12/2016 έως 15/12/2016, και ως εκ τούτου αφενός δεν πληρούν τις προυποθέσεις συμμετοχής της «2^ης Προκήρυξης Υποτροφιών ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ. για Υποψήφιους Διδάκτορες» και αφετέρου δεν μπορούσαν να υποβάλουν αίτηση στο πλαίσιο της «1^ης Προκήρυξης Υποτροφιών ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ. για Υποψήφιους Διδάκτορες», με τη Α.Π. 1886/25.05.2018

αποφάσισε:

Την αντικατάσταση της αναφερόμενης στη 2^η Προκήρυξη Υποτροφιών ΕΛ.ΙΔ.Ε.Κ. για Υποψήφιους Διδάκτορες (υπό 3) δεύτερης προυπόθεσης συμμετοχής: «Να μην έχουν παρέλθει περισσότεροι από 18 μήνες από την ημερομηνία ορισμού της Τριμελούς Συμβουλευτικής Επιστροπής κατά την ημερομηνία έναρξης υποβολής των αιτήσεων» ως ακολούθως:

«Η Τριμελής Συμβουλευτική Επιτροπή του ΥΔ να έχει οριστεί από την 01.12.2016 και μετά».

We warmly invite you to submit your paper for presentation in the Subconference on Environmental Economics, organized by Ingmar Schumacher (IPAG Business School), Eric Strobl (University of Bern, Switzerland), and Cees Withagen (IPAG Business School and VU University, Amsterdam, Netherlands) at the 9th International Research Meeting in Business and Management that will take place on 5-7th July 2018 in Nice, France. We welcome both theoretical and empirical contributions on environmental economics and resource and energy economics, with emphasis on climate change economics; green growth; welfare, discounting and sustainable development; uncertainty and irreversibilities in dynamic resource use; the nexus between population, economic growth and the environment; environmental policy; as well as empirical studies that focus on economic aspects of the environment.

The keynote lectures will be held by Knut Einar Rosendahl (School of Economics and Business, Norwegian University of Life Science, Norway) and Nicolas Treich (Toulouse School of Economics, France).

We would like to draw your attention to the International Conference on Business & Economics of the Hellenic Open University 2018 (ICBE - HOU) that will take place at the Wyndham Grand Athens hotel, Athens, Greece, 11 – 12 May 2018.

We invite the submission of high quality original papers of empirical, theoretical, experimental or conceptual work in all areas of Business Administration, Economics and Organizations Management, for possible presentation at the Conference. Papers submitted for consideration should not have been published elsewhere and should not be under review or submitted for review elsewhere during the duration of consideration. Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of originality, importance of contribution, soundness, evaluation, quality of presentation and appropriate comparison to related work.

The International Conference on Business & Economics of the Hellenic Open University (ICBE - HOU) aims to bring together leading scientists and researchers, affiliated with the HOU, to present, discuss and challenge their ideas, opinions and research findings about all disciplines of Business Administration and Organization Management. Overview

You are cordially invited to submit your research papers (English only and in PDF files) for presentation consideration at the fifth edition of the Paris Financial Management Conference (PFMC-2018) that will take place on 17-19 December 2018 at the breathtaking and enchanting “Saint-Germain-des-Prés” district of Paris.

Overview

The Economics PhD students of the University of Macedonia organize the 6^th International PhD Meeting in Economics, which will be held at the Department of Economics, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. The aim is to provide a meeting point where PhD students and young researchers could share ideas about their work in Economics and Finance. This would encourage academic collaboration among young economists. Submitted papers should focus on recent issues within all fields of Economics and Finance.

Application may be submitted by PhD students and Post-Doctoral researchers. The registration fee is € 60 and includes coffee breaks, two lunches and meeting material.

Submission details

An extended abstract (300-500 words) in English should be submitted no later than April 16, 2018 in PDF format to the following address: phdmeeting@uom.edu.gr .

All abstracts should include the title, 3 to 5 keywords, JEL classification, authors’ names, affiliation and email address.

The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is organizing the45th Annual Conference of the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE), in collaboration with the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE). EARIE Annual Conference

The EARIE Annual Conference provides a yearly platform for delegates and members to present and discuss the latest research in Industrial Economics. The conference attracts more than 400 participants each year from Europe and other parts of the world. EARIE 2018 will take place at the campus of the Athens College, at Psychico, north of the center of Athens.

Athens

Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. With a history spanning over 3,400 years, Athens is one of the world's oldest cities. A center for the arts, learning and philosophy, as well as a great political power in the ancient world, Athens is widely regarded as the "cradle of Western civilization" and the "birthplace of democracy", reflecting the cultural and political impact of Classical Greece on the modern West. Today, Athens is one of the largest cosmopolitan metropoles in Europe and central to the economic, political and cultural life in Greece.

Submission Details

All interested researchers are invited to submit their papers for potential presentation at EARIE 2018, starting from 1 February 2018 until 15 March 2018 (12:00 noon CET). Young Economists' Essay Awards

The EARIE Young Economists' Essay Awards (YEEAs) are intended to encourage young researchers to participate in the EARIE Conference. The awards are aimed at exceptionally innovative and high-level papers written by researchers who: (a) are under the age of 35 and (b) have completed their PhD less than 5 years ago. For papers with multiple authors, each author should satisfy both criteria (a) and (b). Each year, the YEEA for the paper that makes the most significant policy contribution is dedicated to the late Paul Geroski; this year will be the 13th time that EARIE bestows this award in Paul Geroski's memory. As of 2013, Elsevier has kindly sponsored the YEEA money prizes, for which EARIE is very grateful.

No submission fee is required. Authors will be notified no later than April 30, along with a preliminary conference program. Participants must commit to attending the conference by May 15, 2016 by sending the registration form to the local organizing committee at the email address above.

REGISTRATION FEES

There will be a registration fee of 120 euro for senior participants and 80 euro for PhD candidates, payable by cash at the registration desk of the conference venue, where official receipts will be issued.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE

You are cordially invited to submit your research papers for presentation consideration at the World Finance & Banking Symposium (2018) that will take place on December 13th-14th, 2018 in Taiwan, Taichung. This two days conference, hosted by ASIA UNIVERSITY, promotes the exchange of ideas in research, teaching, and managerial practices through formal presentations of research, discussions and special sessions.

AREAS OF INTEREST: The scientific and organizing committees welcome submissions in all areas of Banking, finance and economics.

Submission Deadline: April 30th, 2018

Authors will be notified of the acceptance decision by June 12th, 2018

DOCTORAL STUDENT TUTORIALS AND PHD SESSIONS

The World Finance & Banking Symposium is offering two options to PhD Students participate in our events: PhD Sessions( full papers) and Doctoral Tutorial ( incomplete papers):

Phd Sessions (Full papers): PhD students with completed papers, which includes literature review and statistics or models, can upload those papers on our platform. The World Finance Conference will organize a separated group of sessions only with PhD students from all the parts of the world, promoting the opportunity to discuss their researches and increase the network. The submissions must be done normally, choosing in the beginning of the submission the options "Student: Yes".

Doctoral Tutorial (incomplete papers): The World Finance & Banking Symposium also organizes a tutorial for PhD students as part of the Annual Meeting. We encourage PhD students to submit research proposals, or preliminary drafts, for one of their PhD essays and related to all the finance, economics and accounting areas. The Doctoral Tutorial will be chaired by a renamed group of top finance professors who will provide the students the opportunity to discuss their dissertation research with other doctoral students and top academics finance professors. The authors must submit the papers in our platform and choose the option "Student: Yes" and also " PhD Toturial" in the end of "Topic Areas".

The International Conference on Multidimensional Finance, Insurance and Investment (ICMFII) is devoted to the recent developments and applications of the Multi-Criteria Decision Aid tools in the field of finance and insurance. The Conference aims to disseminate recent methods and procedures designed to solve problems related to finance, insurance and investments, formulated through analytical operational research models in a multidimensional framework that takes into consideration multiple conflicting and incommensurable decision objectives. The Commodity and Energy Markets Association Annual Meeting 2018 will be held in Rome on June 20th - 21st. It follows a longstanding series of meetings of the Commodity and Energy Markets Association (CEMA).

The CEMA Meeting represents the benchmark academic conference in the area and gathers international scholars doing research work in a wide range of topics including the economics, finance and operations of commodity markets.

The conference is jointly organised by Sapienza University of Rome and the Energy and Commodity Finance Research Center (ECOMFIN) at ESSEC Business School.

This is the First call for papers for the 13th European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship being held at the University of Aveiro, Portugal on the 20-21 September 2018.

The call for papers will close on 01 March 2018.

The conference provides an international opportunity for scientific discussion and collaboration on a broad range of topics associated with recent trends in innovation and entrepreneurship. There is a growing recognition in business environments of the key role played by innovation and entrepreneurship. In the uncertain global economic climate that we are currently experiencing, the capacity and necessary attitude for creating new business is fundamental and the probability of success is largely determined by innovative and entrepreneurial thinking. At the same time there is a growing recognition of the need for more sustainable innovation, combining economic, ecological and social aspects.

FMA is now accepting submissions from advanced doctoral students for the 2018 FMA European Doctoral Student Consortium (DSC) on Wednesday, 13 June 2018, in Kristiansand, Norway.

Accepted participants will have the opportunity to present their job market papers, receive feedback from senior faculty, and hear expert panelists discuss potential research topics and professional advice. In addition, conference registration is waived for students selected for the Consortium.

To apply for the 2018 FMA European Doctoral Student Consortium, students must complete the online application and submit a 5 - 10 page dissertation proposal (in PDF format) by Friday, 16 February 2018. In addition, one recommendation letter should be either uploaded to the application form or sent to FMA prior to the application deadline. There is no application fee for the Doctoral Student Consortium.

Past Winners

REGISTRATION FEE

Registrations fee by March 1, 2018 is €425 and by April 3, 2018 is €530. Registration fee after April 3, 2018 is 20% extra. For doctoral students, a discount of €120 applies. Registered participants can attend all social functions, which include Sunday's tour of the city, gala dinner, reception, two lunches and coffee breaks during the conference.

Papers registered after April 3 cannot be considered for the awards.
